a lot. lineart is a slightly modified artemus hard (clip), but sometimes i will use kyle's dry linework 2 (all) for more texture or a thin rectangle brush for no texture. coloring is usually flashito brush (clip) for base colors and R M G Oil Brush Neat and Spoiled Bristle (all) from this pack for blending and texture. but it can be very dependent on the piece! ask for a specific one if you would like to know. here's a longer list too
for most pieces, i use clipping layers, so it lets me do bigger expressive strokes without worrying about staying within the lines. on other software, i recommend using the lasso select tool instead to avoid slowing your program down with too many layers. i tend make a LOT of layers doing this because i like to be able to change what's underneath. i do not organize layers because i am lazy because it saves time. clip studio paint has the ability to set a keyboard shortcut to select a layer from clicking the canvas itself. here is a video on it! i also have lock layer transparency bound to v for fast toggling.
draw more fat people. style theft isn't real. cringe styles also aren't real. learn blender/use sims for backgrounds if you're struggling, but also take the time to learn how backgrounds work. learn about camera focus depths to get really weird with perspective (remember where the vanishing points are!). there are no shortcuts, learn the fundamentals and you'll have an easier time later. if you're feeling artblock, do studies. if you're feeling inspired, do warmups first. stretch your wrists every 15 minutes. byeee
thanks :]
